Service Description

Heartsaver CPR and AED is for all non-medical professionals. Fort Collins (FoCo) CPR is a Certified Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Red Cross. Upon successful completion a 2-year certificate is awarded at $45/year. Often, non-medical professionals are the first person(s) to assist a victim until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. We ensure that everyone, no matter age, experience, or background is trained to the highest standard in emergency response and health care today. This course will build confidence in each participant to accurately recognize and respond to life threatening cardiac and pulmonary emergencies. This course is completed in two parts: 1) Online Student Workbook (1 Hour): Pre-work provides a foundation to in-person course training at your own pace and in the luxury of your own home. This is not a scheduled event. Once payment is processed you will gain access to the online material via email within 24-hours. 2) In-Person Skills (4.5 Hours): Further your understanding of First Aid/CPR/AED concepts while practicing skills in-person, use a manikin with real-time feedback devices, and clarify questions under direct supervision of an experienced AHA/Red Cross Instructor and healthcare professional. Complete your final skills test. This is a scheduled event selected at the time of your booking. All online training material must be completed prior to your appointment. Additional Topics: - How to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) - Adult, child, and infant CPR/AED - 1 and 2 rescuers and working in teams - Mouth-to-mouth vs. face mask - Choking. Heimlich maneuver/abdominal thrusts. CPR with a known obstruction

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations need to be received with a full 24-hours notice or participant(s) are subject to a $35 fee. If a minimum of 24-hour notice is received a refund of 50% is awarded.
